Located on the southeastern coast of the Arabian Gulf, Dubai is the most populous city in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and a major economic and financial hub in the Middle East. In 2015, the Dubai government set forth a strategy to focus on a diversified economy, emphasizing the development of industries such as tourism, aviation, and financial services. As a result, Dubai is progressing toward becoming a more knowledge-based and service-oriented economy. As of 2024, the UAE passport ranks 12th globally, allowing visa-free travel to 183 countries and regions.

 

Dubai Investment Residency Visa


Dubai offers various types of residency visas to attract international investors and professionals to settle and develop in the city. Among these, the investment residency visa is particularly notable for its flexible criteria and inclusivity toward individuals from diverse backgrounds.


Application Requirements


  1. Must be over 18 years old and have no criminal record.

  2. No educational qualifications or language proficiency tests are required.

  3. Monthly income of at least AED 10,000 (or equivalent in other currencies).

  4. Invest AED 130,000 in a startup within a Dubai Free Zone; or

  5. Invest in real estate valued at AED 1 million or more; or

  6. For properties valued at AED 2 million or more, at least AED 1 million must be paid upfront.


* Properties with a total value of AED 1 million or more qualify for a 3-year renewable visa.

* Properties with a total value of AED 5 million or more qualify for a 5-year renewable visa.

* Investments of AED 10 million or more, with a restriction on selling the property within 3 years and real estate investment not exceeding 40% of the total investment, qualify for additional benefits.

 

Dubai Skilled Residency Visa


Dubai also offers a skilled residency visa tailored for highly skilled professionals, aiming to attract individuals with a strong professional background to work and settle in the emirate.


Application Requirements


  1. Must be under 55 years of age.

  2. Must possess a post-secondary degree (minimum 3 years of higher education).

  3. Achieve an IELTS score of 5.0 or above in all four components.

  4. Have at least 2 years of work experience.

  5. Meet the Dubai migration points requirement with a score of 28 points or above.
