Successfully Convinced the Immigration Department: Client Approved for Talent Admission Scheme

小孩與母親

Background Introduction

Client Z, as a mother who places great importance on her children's future education planning, is deeply aware of mainland China's highly competitive educational environment. She understands that obtaining a Hong Kong residency grants access to prestigious universities in Hong Kong and overseas and allows her children to apply to top universities in mainland China as overseas Chinese students.

Thus, Client Z hoped to apply for Hong Kong residency to create multiple pathways for her children's future.

Plan Options and Challenges

1.Quality Migrant Admission Scheme (QMAS)

Client Z initially considered applying for the QMAS. However, this scheme imposes exceptionally high requirements on applicants, including academic qualifications, work experience, and language proficiency. Furthermore, the application process is highly competitive, with a relatively low success rate.

Additionally, the lengthy approval process made this option less feasible. Based on these factors, we did not recommend this option to Client Z.

2.Top Talent Pass Scheme (TTPS)

Client Z also considered the TTPS. However, her background did not fully meet the eligibility criteria, making this plan an infeasible choice.

Solution: Talent Admission Scheme

書寫

After thoroughly understanding Client Z's situation, we recommended the Talent Admission Scheme, which is designed for individuals with professional skills and work experience. This scheme aligned closely with Client Z's background.

Leveraging our extensive network with leading enterprises, we assisted Client Z in identifying a company actively seeking professionals in her field. To maximize her chances of success, we also helped Client Z optimize her résumé, emphasizing her professional expertise and value, thereby enhancing her likelihood of being hired. During the interview process, Client Z performed exceptionally well and ultimately secured an employment contract with the company.

Challenges During the Process and Solutions

挑戰

During the application process, we encountered several challenges. The employer's company had experienced financial losses in the past year, prompting the Immigration Department to question the necessity of hiring an overseas professional. The department requested supporting evidence, including photos of various office areas, the organizational structure chart, and Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) contribution records.

To address this, we utilized our professional business expertise and extensive experience to assist the employer in drafting documents that met the Immigration Department’s requirements. These documents explained the necessity and significance of hiring overseas talent.

Outcome

We emphasized the company's growth potential and demonstrated the long-term value of the talent to the company, ultimately convincing the Immigration Department.

After nearly five months of application and processing, Client Z successfully obtained approval to further develop her career in Hong Kong while also securing better educational opportunities for her children.
